What is roots aarhus
We are a volounteer-based non-profit organization, which aim is to organize concerts and other events with in the folk/roots music style. We target specifically Bluegrass, Oldtime, and Celtic music, as well as Nordic folk music occasionally.
Our target is to host 8-10 events per year, evenly distributed over the year.
We are new organization, formed in spring 2022. We currently have a member base of approx. 130 people and we administrate a FB page with an audience of approx. 800, as well as an FB group of approx. 500.
The concert format is low-medium sound pressure level in front of a focused audience. We use a double Bose linearray sound system, and no floor monitor wedges. By doing so, both audience and musicians can experience the same sound. As we are a small association of volunteers, we cannot accommodate all wishes for sound equipment, so check with us to align expectations.
