Aarhus Folk Festival : New Valley String Band (S) (koncert + Old Time Jamsession)

Som en del af Aarhus Folk Festival, arrangerer Roots Aarhus en koncert med den svenske trio New Valley String Band.
Efter koncerten er der jamsession, hvor alle er velkomne!.
Om bandet:
Guitar, fiddle, banjo and voice is the core of the Swedish old time trio, New Valley String Band. The fiddle is carrying the melodies together with the rhythmical clawhammer banjo, while the guitar is keeping a steady pulse. The musicians base their music on the south Appalachian mountain traditions and have found their own way of interpreting these traditions .
A concert with New Valley String Band includes a well planned mix of both energetic party-hits from the Appalachies and emotional arrangements of heartbreaking ballads . Harmonies, groove and bluesy pentatonic scales, combined with stories from another time is what makes a concert with New Valley String Band unique.
